Aztech Technolgies Inc, dba Aztech Environmental Technologies, is a full service environmental, geology/hydrogeology and remediation consulting firm, and a woman owned and managed business (Certified WBE). In 2014, we purchased a new sonic drill rig with a 50k head to join our fleet of drilling equipment; we are licensed to drill in NY, PA, MA, NJ and soon to be CT. In 2016 and 2017, we added a Geoprobe 3230 and 3200 to our fleet. Last month (10/2017) we complemented our drill equipment with a portable Geoprobe 420M limited access machine to access spaces like basements. Therefore, we own most of the equipment we routinely use. Aztech continues to manufacture custom environmental remediation systems. Aztech’s success comes from our experienced team of geologists, scientists, engineers and technicians. A team who, over the past 25 years, has overseen more than a thousand storage tank closures and environmental site assessments, monitored site groundwater conditions, handled complex remedial projects, performed petroleum bulk storage system audits (including MOSF’s), prepared permits, and implemented stormwater and SPCC plans. We are well versed in Phase I and Phase II site assessments and provide this service to a variety of markets.

1. President and Senior Hydrogeologist

   Retail Petroleum Portfolio Manager Project Manager and Lead Geologist over a 14 year period for a New York State based convenience store chain with over 300 locations. Responsibilities include overseeing all facility upgrades (UST removals, soil excavations, dewatering), coordinating and overseeing all site investigations, and subsequent groundwater monitoring and remediation. Petroleum Bulk Storage (PBS) Audit Program Lead Geologist and liaison between client and regulatory officials regarding independent third party facility audits under a New York State order-on-consent. Responsibilities included PBS audits at over 100 locations, documentation of compliance and repair of non-compliant issues, regulatory correspondence and reporting. Remediation Site Work As Senior Hydrogeologist, oversaw remediation site work at numerous petroleum and chlorinated solvent facilities. Remediation included soil excavation, groundwater extraction, air sparge and soil vapor extraction systems, in-situ chemical injection and sub-slab depressurization systems. All remedial systems were custom designed and built in-house by Aztech engineers. Soil Excavation Project Malone, New York. Senior Hydrogeologist and onsite coordinator for a complex soil excavation project. The subject site was a 3.4 acre retail petroleum facility that had a topographic relief of over ten (10) feet. Initial responsibilities included coordinating, overseeing and documenting the removal of nine (9) petroleum USTs and associated infrastructure under the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act (Federal Stimulus). The project scope expanded to involve excavation of three (3) to seven (7) feet of “clean” soil that was underlain by 10 to 22 feet of petroleum-impacted soil. During the course of site activities, a total of cubic yards of soil were treated: cubic yards were treated at an offsite location while cubic yards were bio-remediated onsite.
