Principal duties include: conducting ethnographic research among people who inject heroin, advising the HIT team on preparations for Rapid Assessment Project (RAP) visits and advance coordination of contacts in the field, participating in RAP visits to cities around the United States with other members of the HIT ethnographic team, recruitment of interviewees and conducting interviews with consenting research subjects, reviewing transcripts and consultation on data analysis.
