Head of Publishing, ecancermedicalscience2024–PresentLead the publishing operations of ecancermedicalscience, ecancer’s open-access oncology journal, with responsibility for overseeing the editorial workflow, manuscript triage, peer review coordination, author communications, production processes and publication standards.In this role, I manage the day-to-day operations of the journal, working closely with the Editor-in-Chief, editorial board members, reviewers, authors, production teams and internal colleagues to ensure that manuscripts are assessed, reviewed and published in line with the journal’s editorial policies and quality standards.Key responsibilities include initial manuscript assessment, coordination of peer review, reviewer recruitment, editorial decision support, author correspondence, publication ethics checks, plagiarism and originality review, conflict of interest and funding declaration checks, and monitoring manuscript progress from submission through to publication.The role requires strong editorial judgement, attention to detail, knowledge of academic publishing standards, and the ability to manage multiple submissions and stakeholder relationships simultaneously. It also involves supporting the journal’s mission to publish high-quality oncology research that is relevant to global cancer care, particularly in resource-limited and underserved settings.

Responsible for the strategic management and operational oversight of ecancermedicalscience, an international, open access, peer-reviewed oncology journal. My role includes leading the editorial team, coordinating the peer review and publication processes, developing journal policies and ethical standards, and driving initiatives to support editorial quality, global author engagement, and equitable access to cancer research. I work closely with researchers, clinicians, and stakeholders to ensure the journal reflects the latest advances and global perspectives in cancer care and research.Lidero la gestión estratégica y operativa de ecancermedicalscience, una revista médica internacional, revisada por pares y de acceso abierto especializada en oncología.
