About Mary Frances Williams
In June, I graduated with my Master\'s in Accounting degree from the University of Tennessee, Haslam College of Business, supplemented by a concentration in Information Management. Simultaneously, I had the role of a Graduate Teaching Assistant, specializing in a data analytics course within the Accounting Department. Through my coursework in the MAcc program and my responsibilities as a teaching assistant, I have obtained a comprehensive understanding of IT information systems, risk mitigation, and data analytics. Additionally, over the course of this year I have been preparing and completing parts of the CPA exam. Prior to attending the University of Tennessee, I received my Bachelor\'s degree in Accountancy from the Patterson School of Accountancy at the University of Mississippi. I cultivated my creative abilities and analytical skills through obtaining a minor in Digital Media Studies. Additionally, I completed a summer program in Florence, Italy, where I immersed myself in a new culture and expanded my perspective. I was an active participate in the M Power program at the Ole Miss through creating an inclusive environment and advocating for equal opportunities for individuals with varied backgrounds across campus. During my time at Ole Miss, I seized an opportunity to contribute my skills and knowledge as an Audit Intern at Ernst & Young\'s Atlanta office. My internship, which took place during busy season, provided with the invaluable practical experience and allowed me to witness firsthand the workings of an associate in a professional services firm. These experiences have collectively shaped my professional trajectory and given me a deep passion for the fields of accounting, information management, and data analytics.
