Develop and document a City-wide records management database to manage the city\'s real property interests throughout its life cycle. • Acquisition, including eminent domain and condemnation, if needed.• Management, grant and release of easements, encroachments, licenses, right-of-way close, vacate and abandonments.• Lease abstracting, tracking critical dates, confirming rent payments and creating a separate module in the database to capture lease data.• Disposition, disposing of the asset through sale or other means as allowed under the Local Government Code.Consult with City Manager’s Office on policy/procedure issues; City Attorney’s Office on legal issues; City Secretary regarding policies and procedures related to records retention; and Finance and Risk Management to determine how to link the database to financial and insurance data.Create a review process to ensure all internal/external stakeholders are included in approving or denying requests related to city-owned properties.Identify, research and present potential surplus properties to the City Manager’s Office, legal and executive teams to determine if there is public use for the property or if the property should be disposed of. Provide disposal options.Acquire properties for city projects. Coordinate with state and federal agencies as needed.Develop, document and train on land acquisition and disposition to ensure staff complies with the Local Government Code.
