I am a dedicated Senior Healthcare Support Worker currently within the specialist OPAT service at NHSGGC, supporting the delivery of outpatient intravenous antimicrobial therapy. My role supports the safe delivery of outpatient intravenous antimicrobial therapy, contributing to patient-centred care within a specialist clinical service.My clinical responsibilities include venepuncture, blood culture collection, peripheral cannulation and removal, ECG recording, wound care, and patient monitoring. I also support clinic preparation, manage stock procurement using PECOS, and maintain accurate clinical documentation on TrakCare to ensure safe and efficient service delivery.Working closely with Advanced Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Nurse Specialists, pharmacists, and OPAT medical staff, I contribute to multidisciplinary collaboration that supports safe patient pathways and high standards of care.Alongside my hospital role, I bring experience in integrated care working, care planning, and supporting individuals with complex needs. I am particularly committed to promoting independence, preserving dignity, and ensuring care delivery aligns with national and local healthcare standards.With a strong academic background in Biological Sciences and postgraduate studies, I am committed to continuous professional development and expanding my clinical competencies within healthcare services.I am open to trainee roles and development opportunities that will allow me to further contribute to patient care, develop advanced clinical skills, and progress within the healthcare sector.
