ABOUT MARY E PETERSON

With over 30 years of nursing experience in the field of hematology and oncology, I am a passionate and dedicated Oncology Nurse Educator at AbbVie, a global biopharmaceutical company. I hold a Master of Science in Nursing from Texas Woman\'s University and an Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner (AOCNP) credential from the Oncology Nursing Society, which demonstrate my high level of expertise and competence in this specialty. I was honored to receive the Lifetime Achievent Award from the ASBMT Transplant Nursing Special Interest Group in 2016 and most recently being named Fellow (FAPO) for the Advance Practice Society in Hematology and Oncolgy in 2023. My mission is to positively impact the lives of cancer patients by educating healthcare providers on the latest advancements and best practices in emerging targeted therapies. I leverage my extensive clinical background and industry knowledge to deliver evidence-based and tailored education programs that enable providers to effectively prescribe, manage, and support patients receiving chemotherapy and other novel treatments. I also collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure the quality and consistency of educational materials and My opinions are my own and do not represent those of my employer.
