Mary Catherine Burns is a composer for media based in New York City and Atlanta, GA. Burns has composed for a range of media including film, animation, and video games. Her work has been heard in films at various festivals including Cannes, Sundance, and the Toronto International Film Festival, and her original score for Scream (2023) was shortlisted for Best Original Score at the Independent Shorts Awards in Los Angeles. Burns holds a Master of Music in Film Scoring from the Berklee College of Music and was selected for the 20••••25 Society of Composers and Lyricists NY Mentor Program.
