About Mary Aho

I am a versatile Analyst with more than 20 years of data analysis (intelligence, trend, risk), application, and process improvement experience in government and the private sector (healthcare, crime, legal services, education, banking/finance). I love to tell stories through data and visualizations. Whether technical, user, or business, I know my way around a requirement or two (and prefer to call them user stories). I like data, know how to analyze it. Power BI, Tableau, SQL, DAX, M, VBA, Excel, Visio, SharePoint, Access, and tools like them are my teammates. Details and I are good friends. Building dashboards, reports, websites, and databases are what I would (and do) make for fun. Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) and normalizing data are things I\'ve done my entire career. I have acquaintance with some friends named HTML5, CSS3, Javascript, and Python. I speak geek but can also communicate with the business, and can translate between the two. A fast-paced environment and high pressure are my career-long colleagues. Writing is my thing. Liaising with different business groups is a commonly-used strength. Presenting to stakeholders at all organization levels is old-hat but a joy. Passion for getting it right is my weakness. Curiosity, learning, and creativity fill my soul.
