Having spent many years in Strategic Sourcing, either managing high-value, complex categories or leading global teams, I\'ve gained significant insights into what it takes to develop a high performing procurement operation. Given the increasing need for a more integrative, responsive and technologically aware procurement function I\'m very excited about the evolution of this profession and my ability to contribute to that direction. My immediate goal now is to be part of Strategic Sourcing 2.0- a more collaborative, value-oriented discipline for our business process owners. This goes beyond treating sourcing as a discrete function, into fixing underlying processes where \'muda\'- non-value add activities- create drag and add costs. In this way we can deliver even greater value to our stakeholders in the business and the company as a whole.
