ABOUT MARVIN PIWONKA

I am a enthusiastic proactive 25+ year manager. 10 years as manufacturing manager, 15+ years as engineering manager, backed by some 20+ years in manufacturing. My engineering roles include, but not limited to new product design, make to order, and sustaining product. I have lead teams in manufacturing, sustaining product, and engineering.My foremost focus is delivering safe designs on time. Other focus areas are, design and drawing quality, this reduces the chance of non-conformances (NCR\'s). Next NCR response time, the goal is 1-2 hours to keep product moving and not fall behind schedules. Also design smart, ensuring we do not create stumbling blocks for mfg. to do this I work close with our manufacturers. A bit of history: Early 2001 I have worked on solutions for severe wear to chokes caused by gas well fracturing flow backs, hence responsible for design and development of the robust ‘HXE’ Severe Service choke. Up to this date the design has evolved into widely used choke for a variety of applications with pressures up to PSI, Actuation for this choke range from a manually hand operated version to hydraulic piston, hydraulic motor, and servo motor operated. In March 2013 awarded US patent on the HXE-G3 choke. When I joined Premium Oilfield Technologies I developed our TRU-Flow choke, one of the best chokes used in MPD operations to-date. Also responsible for designs of the UL certified SUR-Tork actuator, which is gaining recognition for it\'s simplicity and use around MPD operations. My expertise is extended into other equipment, such as planetary gear reducers, Kelly valves, special throttling ball valve also used in MPD operations, and one of a kind planetary driven high pressure choke.
