ABOUT MARVIN FRITZLER
I am a clinician-scientist and Professor Emeritus of Medicine involved in international collaboration networks in the fields of the molecular biology of autoantigens, clinical relevance of autoantibodies and pathogenesis of autoimmune diseases. I am founder and Director of Mitogen Diagnostics Corporation. I have published over 560 peer reviewed publications, most of which focused on the identification of over 20 novel autoantigens. Knowledge from these studies are applied in novel clinical diagnostic assays, many of which have been adopted worldwide. These diagnostic tests provide early and accurate diagnoses of specific autoimmune illnesses and several have established prognostic significance. This research has lead me to a current focus on the use of diagnostics in personalized medicine. I have held a number of leadership positions in professional and community organizations such as the Canadian Society for Clinical Investigation, the Arthritis Society, the American Rheumatism Association, Ambrose University College and Centre Street Church in Calgary.
