Surface modeling. Interpreting and creating precise and complex surface geometries from conceptual 2D sketches and/or picture samples. Concept to reality designing- Prototype developement- Design and create tool flanges; open molds, split flanging, LRTM, RTM, infusion, etc- Design and integration using multi-component assemblies and sub-assemblies- DFMA; Designing for manufacturability and assembly- Reverse Engineering using manual measurements, STLs, and/or point cloud data- Prototype development and production parts design- Production Support. Provide production documents and direction to shop floor managers- Analyzes drawings, sketches and design data to determine dimension and configuration- Defines and designs complex tooling and fixtures used to manufacture or inspect parts- Conduct and manage design reviews to insure satisfaction of design services provided- Primary CAD Modeling Software: Siemens NX 8.5-12.0- Other CAD experience; Solidworks, AutoCAD, and Rhino.Marine Concepts/JRL Ventures is the leading composites tooling manufacturer which has been in business for over 40 years.
