About Maruf Choudhury
As an analog layout designer, I focus on creating the physical layout of analog electronic devices, ensuring that the circuitry functions as expected. To achieve this, I employ various techniques to reduce errors and improve performance. I use large areas to reduce random errors and common centroid layout to minimize linear gradient errors. I also utilize unit element arrays, interdigitize for matching, and leverage symmetry (photolithographic invariance) to ensure accurate design. Additionally, I employ dummy devices for similar vicinity and guard rings for isolation to prevent noise and interference.In my work, I consider environmental noise, such as crosstalk and ground bounce, which can appear as common-mode signals. To mitigate this, I design fully-differential circuits and use shielded resistors to reduce mutual capacitance. For large resistors, I use n-well resistors with substrate shielding rings to isolate them from neighboring devices.As an analog layout designer, I work closely with the manufacturing team to ensure that the design process meets specifications. My role requires attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot and optimize designs to meet performance requirements.
