I also curate the best news of the day and week on Microsoft\'s internal MSW home page and in a weekly email that goes to all full-time employees. At msnbc.com (now NBC News Digital), I managed editorial projects before, during and after the global financial crisis of 2008. I was responsible for the relaunch of the Money channel on TODAY.com, a breakthrough effort that resulted in an eightfold increase in traffic and substantial sponsorship revenue. I also managed content and web production for MSN Money, a leading consumer-facing business and financial news site, reaching 18 million unique users and generating more than 300 million page views monthly. An award-winning business writer, I have chronicled turbulent economic times and covered Microsoft and Boeing at a time when both companies were regularly making front-page news. I also have had occasion to cover major international news stories including the capture of the Unabomber in Montana, the death of Kurt Cobain and the terrorist attacks of Sept. I began my career as a newspaper reporter covering crime, education and government near my hometown of Cleveland, Ohio.
