One of my primary responsibilities as the owner of a rapidly expanding first aid training company is to ensure I have the right people in the right places doing what they do best.As a seasoned first aid trainer and assessor with over 30 years of experience, I ensure that all of our first aid trainers and assessors have gone through a rigorous selection process to ensure we only have the very best first aid trainers and assessors, and what I love is that they bring with them lots of experience that we can all share.Even though I am the MD, I still like to get out and deliver first aid training 2-3 times a month to keep my training skills in check. It is also good to keep my network growing by meeting senior management teams when I am onsite.I regularly attend CPD events and training courses to ensure my training skills and CPD are kept up-to-date. I also work with our external IQA team to ensure all of our commitments to keeping our awarding organisation centre approval status in check are met and we maintain our DCS (Direct Cliam Status).One of the most rewarding parts of my role is giving praise and encouragement to my team, listening when they have something to say, and acting swiftly if needed.
