Glass is a fantastic and fascinating material, something which even now continues to be ancient in nature but unlimited in it\'s uses.A glass technologist is aiming for two things, firstly to understand the glass chemistry, what we can use to make up the glass, and how we can derive the optimum formulation. The second is to explore the morphology of the final material, looking at how we melt the glass and what shapes we can make the glass into to use it\'s unique properties.
