Security Operations Centre Manager @Harrods

I currently have line manager responsibilities for a team of dedicated SOC Operatives and SOC Assistant Managers in a busy SOC in Knightsbridge Harrods. This includes:• Leading and managing security incidents and major incidents, utilising all available resources and communicating with Senior Management including Directors, the Crisis Management Team and relevant stake holders.• Giving clear instructions to my team and to the Security Officers and Managers on the shop floor to collect best evidence of any criminal activity, whilst ensuring the safety of all staff and customers. If safe to do so, I guide Officers to the safe apprehension of suspects.• Working closely with The Head of Security and the Security Director to review security procedures including counter terrorism related procedures• Maintaining regular contact with security equipment providers to ensure a world class service and great working relationships and to ensure all KPIs are met.• Managing the rota and overtime for the Control Room, ensuring expenditure matches the needs of the business whilst also working within budgeted frameworks• Conducting investigations and disciplinary meetings • Implementing regular training with my team.• Liaising with business partners and Senior Management to ensure a professional and proactive service, that can provide safety and security to our clients and our staff.• Overseeing the implementation of a new VMS system to ensure a seamless transition and continuation of services.• Part of the Security Business Continuity Team
