I am one of the 87 elected members of Cornwall Council, representing the residents of the Feock & Kea. My Division comprises the whole of Feock and Kea Parishes. It encompasses the villages of Carnon Downs, Devoran, Playing Place and Feock as well as the many smaller villages and hamlets in-between. I‘m a member of the Conservative Group and in addition to representing the residents within my Division, I’m currently Vice-Chairman of the Cornwall Council Harbours Board and sit on the Corporate Finance Overview & Scrutiny Committee, the Standards Committee, the Strategic Planning Committee and the Senior Officers Employment Committee. I am also the Armed Forces Lead Member and Chair the Cornwall Armed Forces Covenant Board, a Trustee of the Cornwall Community Flood Forum and member of the Cornwall National Landscape Partnership Board. From May 2021 to April 2025 I served as a member of the Cabinet, holding the Environment and Climate Change Portfolio, which comprised: Waterways, Beaches and Flood Resilience, National Landscapes and the World Heritage Site, Archeology Service,Maritime Services (Ports and Harbours),Climate Change (Including the Environmental Growth Strategy and Climate Change Action Plan), Public Protection and Enforcement Services (Environmental Health, Trading Standards, Port Health, Animal Health), Energy Supply,Public Rights of Way,Parks and Open Spaces,Fire and Rescue Service,Emergency Planning and Business Resilience,Council Farms,Liaison with Devon and Cornwall Police, the Police and Crime Commissioner and ‘blue light collaboration’ within Cornwall
