   In 1995, my heart was broken for the second time. The first time it happened was after I had been a teacher and a school-based social worker. I had earned my 100-ton US Captain’s Coast Guard license and ran - a sailing school for 10 years where I designed programs for autistic and emotionally challenged kids. I was the 1st female commodore of the Lake George Corinthian Yacht Club. I was living in the Adirondack mountains fulfilling my dream to be the first woman author ever to publish a sailing book for women on How to Sail. After 28 rejection letters, I got a contract with one of the top Nautical publishers. When the publisher canceled my contract, my heart broke!When I took my book put it in a plastic box on the top shelf of the closet, I put a piece of heart in there, too. I picked myself up and moved to Annapolis, MD and became a yacht broker. In just 2 years, I had become the second highest yacht broker in one of the top companies. I sold more boats than the men who had been their 10 and 14 yrs. I decided to go to Miami to sell those big boats and really make it big. Instead, I was an abject failure. I sold 3 boats in 2 years. Chasing answers outside of myself, I went from being worth over a million dollars to have $7.41 in my bank account. I’d go to networking lunches and pretend I was on a diet because I couldn’t afford the lunch. One day, I closed 4 of my 5 businesses and started to write the first book that I published. I had unlocked my creative potential and coaching clients started lining up. My bank account got to then because I figured it out for myself, I realized that I could show other entrepreneurs how they too could go from stuck, frustrated, and overwhelmed to increasing their business anywhere from 20 – to well over 100% in just two months.
