I launched PublicDisplay.ART as a way to strengthen Seattle\'s creative community, to recognize the work of local artists, and to guide readers to explore Seattle\'s vibrant arts scene. Over the past three+ years, we have showcased the work of 147 local artists and provided essential arts coverage that encourages audience engagement, benefitting Seattle\'s galleries, arts organizations, event producers, performance venues, and creators. PublicDisplay.ART is distributed for free — providing Seattle\'s residents and visitors with a \"go-to\" guide to explore the local arts scene and distributed at over 900 distribution locations — from Everett to Tacoma and Bainbridge Island to Issaquah. We compensate all featured artists and contributing writers. In this way, we are doing more than simply reporting on Seattle\'s vibrant arts scene, we are investing in the creative minds that power it.Publishing PublicDisplay.ART is my love letter to the artists and arts administrators who\'s work enriches the lives of Seattle\'s resident and makes the city a favorite destination for visitors.
