Experienced researcher, engineer and leader with >$30M in external research funding as Principal Investigator, sponsored by DOE, NSF, DoD, National Laboratories, State Agencies and Industry (>40 grants, ranging from $10k to $10M). Demonstrated success in development of large, interdisciplinary centers, collaboration across institutional boundaries, strategic planning, community engagement.Expert in fluid dynamics and energy systems, with an emphasis on ocean renewable energy including tidal, wave and offshore wind energy.
