About Clint Martin

Now pursuing in making my hobby of creative writing and poetry a career. I’m currently editing the memoirs of my five formative years in Huntsville, Texas at Sam Houston State University as a college student from Summer of 1996 to Fall of 2001. College was when I experienced dating, my first kiss, falling in love, heartbreak, and consuming alcohol all for the first time. The courses were much more than lectures and test by professors but also lessons from the world. It was a life altering journey of personal growth, discovery of oneself, and where I made friendships that have lasted a lifetime. This is a chance to tell my story for people who reflect back their young adult years, remember me, and anyone who might learn from my lessons so they may make better choices after leaving home. These days I\'m a husband, father, and soldier in the Army National Guard. I reside in Arlington, Texas which is home of the Dallas Cowboys. My past-time enjoyments include camping, hiking, exercise, music, cooking/grilling food, smoking meats, woodwork, card/board games, rock painting, and charity work. Though weary with questions from time to time, I remain a man of faith and believe we have purpose.    Other than defending our country and the U.S. Constitution, my responsibilities in the Army are to provide high quality meals for my fellow soldiers. I supervise meal operations, deliver food out into the field as needed, cater special events upon request, cook and bake meals in accordance to our production schedule and recipe cards, order and receive inventory, train lower ranking soldiers in food production as needed, drive military vehicles, as well as ensure that our dining facility and kitchen succeeds the standards in cleanliness and health.
