ABOUT SURV. PROF. MARTIN MORGAN TUULI
Martin Tuuli is Professor of Operations and Project Management and Director of Academic Staffing at Loughborough Business School, Loughborough University. He is the immediate past Deputy Rector (Pro Vice Chancellor) and Professor of Construction Business & Project Management at the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA). Prior to this, he was also Dean of the GIMPA Business School. Martin has an international outlook and over 20 years of academic leadership experience (management, research and teaching) in higher education and professional experience in construction and project/programme/development management sector. His experience span several countries including Ghana, Hong Kong, China and the UK. His professional experience has been within the context of project/programme/development and commercial management of Infrastructure Projects/Programmes where he has expertise in BIM, Data Science/Big Data Analytics in Construction, project audit, stakeholder consultation, etc.For more than a decade, Martin has had significant higher education management responsibilities and managed significant research projects as Principal Investigator (PI) and Co-Investigator (Co-I), funding won through competition and peer assessments. Through these projects, Martin has researched and reported on the mechanisms and human factor issues (Behavioural Project Management) required to sustain the efficiency and effectiveness of projects/programmes, project and project-based organisations through the development and advancement of theories of, and the empirical verification and validation of strategies/mechanisms for effective teamwork. He is well published, including 60+ peer-reviewed journal papers, conference papers, book chapters, etc. He has published in top journals in his field and his research papers have been cited over times (google scholar) in highly rated journals across many disciplines. He has supervised 8 PhD students to completion. Martin is the recipient of 11 national and international awards, including fellowships, outstanding research student awards and best research paper awards. He a professional member of the Ghana Institution of Surveyors (GhIS), Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy, member of the Project Management Institute (PMI) Ghana Chapter and Board Director of the PMI Global Accreditation Center (GAC). Martin is also an Honorary Professor at the University of Hong Kong and Board Chairman and Non-Executive Director at iGreen Engineering & Property Development Company Ltd, Ghana.
