ABOUT MARTIN MAALOUMI
As a purpose driven leader, I have 10+ years leading international UX research and product insight teams of up to 15 people in over a dozen countries. I thrive in the 0-to-1 product development stage: shaping growth strategy, aligning stakeholders around a shared and achievable vision, building team and organization momentum, and translating new knowledge about human behavior in product contexts into tangible business impact. My understanding of how people and technology productively intersect enables me to be people first leader with a mature product-sense. I create clarity, unlock next steps, and fuel progress-to-goal where it matters most. Drawing on a previous life in education, my superpowers are launching and scaling the research culture within organizations (4 and counting!) and mentoring product teams through the process of turning complex, ambiguous problems into clear paths forward by combining deep empathy, precise data analysis, and strategic foresight into research outputs and business outcomes.I have successfully led UX research and strategy teams in B2B, B2B2C and B2C contexts, in-house and as a consultant, across various domains such as edtech, fintech, and video security, including multiple efforts in the AI domain. I have collaborated with cross-functional partners and senior leaders to inform product development and business strategy, and to create durable artifacts such as personas, jobs-to-be-done, service blueprints, and journey maps. I believe that research is a knowledge building activity, and that every stakeholder should be empowered to do the highest quality research possible for their context.
