ABOUT MARTIN HURSH

I am a Student. A Student Body President. An Economics major. And most importantly, a learner. Yet none of those big one-liners define who I am. Yes, I love problem-solving, but I also love helping people. I ran for Student Body President this past year and won. Talking with and in front of thousands of Iowa State Students. It\'s not easy facing rejection in front of so many people. What if I lose this race? My friends, family, and anyone of significance to me will know I\'m a loser. What I didn\'t expect was that I lost plenty of times during those two months I ran. Going into club meetings and bombing. I learned that\'s life. Rejection is guaranteed; it\'s an inescapable reality of life. This may be shocking, but not every Iowa State Student who voted voted for me. When I won, it was the best feeling I\'ve ever felt. I couldn\'t imagine not running because of the fear of rejection. Rejection won\'t stop me. My professional accomplishments include (not comprehensive): 1. What\'s Next- Anywhere 2.
