ABOUT MARTIN GIBBS
Founder of Footsteps Advisory, providing strategic advisory, mentoring and leadership facilitation for business owners and senior leaders.My work is shaped by over 40 years’ experience in accountancy and strategic business advisory, including 26 years as a Partner at Dafferns and 18 years as Managing Partner and Chairman, before retiring from the firm in June 2025. Today, I draw on that experience to act as a trusted sounding board for leaders making important decisions about direction, performance and the future.Through Footsteps Advisory I provide: • Strategic business and board-level advisory • Leadership and next-generation mentoring • Facilitated strategy and planning sessions • Growth, profitability, change and exit thinkingI also bring an international perspective, having served as EMEA Regional Chair of AGN International (2019–2022), and remain closely connected to the wider business and advisory community.Alongside my advisory work, I am developing a new business strategy podcast, following my earlier role as anchor presenter of The Daffernomics Podcast, where I explored practical strategy, leadership judgement and what it really takes to stay ahead.At the heart of my work is a simple philosophy: shape what you can control and plan thoughtfully for what you cannot — learning from experience to choose the next steps wisely.
