ABOUT MARTINEZ SELLERS

I\'m a devoted advocate for my community and have dedicated my life to church ministry and non-profit work. From my early days at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Ohio to my current endeavors in Southern California, my commitment to serving others remains unwavering.At the University of California, Berkeley, I played a vital role in establishing the Young Inspiration Gospel Choir. I also founded the Louise Patterson African American Awards Ceremony, recognizing the achievements of people of color at the university. Additionally, I provided tutoring and mentorship to at-risk youth in Oakland.Returning to Southern California, I became the director of the Voices of Triumph Youth Choir and later the church\'s first full-time Children & Youth Director. I revitalized the youth ministry by introducing impactful programs and events.My passion for mentoring and teaching led me to become an Adjunct Professor at Apex Bible College. I co-founded the Urban Ministries Student Curriculum and wrote religious studies materials. Additionally, I worked as a curriculum writer for Azusa Pacific University.In my professional journey, I served as the Program and Community Development Coordinator for the Children\'s Fund, collaborating to support at-risk children. I also worked as a Lead Family and Behavioral Specialist with South Coast Community Services, providing in-home support to vulnerable youth.Motivated by my experiences, I pursued a Master\'s degree in Counseling as a Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) and served as the Executive Director of Operation New Hope. Currently, I work as the Program Coordinator for First-Fathers, a non-profit supporting new fathers.As the co-founder and CEO of MarSell Wellness Center and MHS, I offer therapy services, anger management programs, and parenting coaching. I also address mental health stigma through my social media platforms and released my first book,\"Stop the Stinking Thinking,\" in the Fall of 2020.Above all, I take pride in being a loving father to his three children: Rayven, Christian, and Toni.
