Following his PhD, he completed a five year post-doc at Stanford University researching respiratory viral exacerbations of asthma and pulmonary immunology focusing on dendritic cell and T cell biology. He then joined Roche Pharmaceuticals and led a group of researchers and multiple drug discovery projects in the Inflammation group both in Palo Alto, California and Nutley, New Jersey. From 2012 to 2018, Martin was at Takeda, first leading the Translational Medicine Group in Immunology in San Diego, then contributing to leading external and internal project teams for Immune-Oncology, and contributing to Immunology, Ophthalmology and Oncology strategy and business development opportunities.
