About Martin Chaplin

I am a Senior Investment Analyst at Bronze Valley Corp. I leverage my expertise and extensive startup network in top-of-funnel market research and startup analysis to facilitate strategic partnerships and equity investments. My background includes roles at Techstars, a two-time founder, and program operator in the early-stage innovation sector, which I utilize to drive growth and impact in scalable tech sectors that contribute to economic mobility.I co-authored an engineering curriculum with the National Society for Black Engineers, Purdue University, and the National Science Foundation. Additionally, I developed startup-focused programming for Goodie Nation\'s social impact pre-accelerator, supported by Verizon and Google for Startups. At Purdue University, I served as an engineering education research fellow before founding ImaginED Georgia, a community of practice that catalyzes partnerships for under-resourced learners looking for upward mobility by leveraging tech and innovation. Through the Edgineer accelerator, a program I developed and managed, at ImaginED Georgia, three out of five companies collectively raised over $1 million in funding post-graduation. I\'ve been involved in strategic planning and fundraising for many startups, helping secure millions in funding. My collaborations include leading organizations such as the National Venture Capital Association, Techstars, and the Obama Foundation. I have built a diverse network in the education and workforce space, working with the nation’s top professionals in tech, philanthropy, Venture Capital, and Economic Development. I have served as chairman of the US Black Chambers, Atlanta Chapter, and the Young Entrepreneurs Collaborative, and I am honored to be recognized as a 30 under 30 Young Nonprofit Professional Network honoree. Additionally, I am an HBCUvc Fellow, a graduate of VC University at UC Berkeley, serve as an associate board member for Youth Guidance, and a founding member of BlckVC, Atlanta Chapter. Currently based in Atlanta, concentrating on investing in innovative, world-changing Scalable solutions. Driven by my passion for inclusive innovation, I am now focusing my efforts on investing in early-stage ventures that have the potential to transform lives and communities.
