ABOUT MARTIN WARD

I\'m a specialist in B2B software with a 35-year career spanning both blue chip enterprises and start-ups. I\'ve been a 2x co-founder, achieved successful trade exits, and have held Director/VP level positions in strategic commercial domains such as sales, pre-sales, business development, consulting and services, spanning UK and EMEA. My formal education is in Computing Science and strategic leadership, and I\'ve been privileged to study at Imperial College, MIT, Berkeley, IESE and University of Michigan. I love innovation-driven entrepreneurship and am a successful angel investor and start-up mentor, serving on multiple advisory boards. I\'m currently a Partner at Waypoint Partners, where I offer a range of strategic commercial services to help early-stage B2B SaaS ventures scale. I\'m hugely fortunate that my work is also my passion. My other real passion is positive leadership. I believe people are the creators of wealth and that the job of a leader is to unlock human potential. I regularly speak publicly on this vitally important topic, am a scholar of conscious leadership best practices, and run education and development programs for executives of all levels on leadership fundamentals. As part of my commitment to leadership, I\'m delighted to have been appointed as the first West Midlands Tech Commissioner, with the remit of championing growth of the Regional tech sector. I\'m also a Committee member of Boardwave, a not-for-profit Founder/CEO forum which promotes development of the European software industry. Above all else, I\'m a husband and a father of two wonderful adult sons.
