Experienced bioinformatics scientist with extensive expertise in analysis and interpretation of clinical cancer genomes.My experience at Illumina include analysis and biomarker detection in whole genome sequencing data for various haematological and solid cancers, guiding bioinformatics software development for clinical genome interpretation, and supporting collaborations with external academic and clinical partners to demonstrate the value of whole genome and transcriptome sequencing in oncology.Previous experience includes clinical cancer data analysis for the Genomes Project, association analysis of rare variants involved in metastatic prostate cancer predisposition, and mutagenesis mechanisms driving haematological cancers, complemented by my original background and PhD in molecular biology.
