ABOUT MARTINA HENNINGS

I am a senior relationship manager with extensive strategic leadership experience in account management across asset management, banking and custody for both institutional and retail clients.Most recently, I was Head of Client Services for Vermilion FactSet, where I ran a small team of account managers responsible for client reporting software with 42 institutional clients. Between 2014 and 2020, I oversaw a sizeable increase in team revenue and client wallet share, achieved a 97% client satisfaction score and retained a number of key clients who were at risk of moving to competitors. Additionally I was an active participant in sales pitches, which resulted in securing new accounts. From 2006 to 2014, I worked for Cofunds, which is now part of Aegon. Initially I was responsible for retail customer services and drove reduced client query turnaround times from 60+ days to two days within two months, and elevated levels of service across the team. Then, in 2010, I moved to the institutional team, where I ran relationships with UK and global custodians. During my tenure, I increased the number of accounts, AUM and revenue, and also reduced costs and enhanced processing accuracy by streamlining end-to-end processes and preventing repeat errors.While I have consistently exceeded my revenue targets throughout my career, my achievements have been facilitated by my ability to adapt to new challenges and work effectively as a team member and leader. Also, I have enjoyed coaching and mentoring colleagues throughout my career.Having taken a planned career break, I have now found my next challenge with Starling Bank.
