About Martin Wojcik
Martin harvests innovations and manages all aspects of corporate domestic and foreign patent preparation and prosecution, including post grant patent work to build a strong patent portfolio. Martin also serves on PayPal’s generative AI governance committee, and handles various broader IP functions including patent litigation support. Previously, Martin worked at several boutique law firms specializing in patent prosecution and counseling relating to software design, embedded systems, digital and analog hardware, network architecture, and graphic sub-systems. Martin received his BSEE in 1997 and MSEE in 2002, both from UT Austin. He received his JD from the University of Houston Law Center in 2007. Prior to entering the legal profession, Martin spent four years at National Instruments (NI) in Austin, Texas, where he held positions in software engineering, sales, and marketing departments. He also worked at Applied Research Laboratories while attending college designing test systems. Martin has published articles in and ISA. Specialties: in-house patent counsel, innovation harvesting, portfolio management, open source software, generative AI governance, litigation and licensing support, due diligence, patent prosecution, counseling, and analysis.
