About Martin Whitehead
If I had a dollar for each time someone told me that my combination of IT partner ecosystem business knowledge, marketing and communications expertise, and creative skills is truly unique – I’d be retired by now, not updating my LinkedIn profile. It’s a good thing I love what I do. It’s true, I have a broad spectrum of proven capabilities that span strategy, partner marketing and communications, branding, internal and executive communications, virtual and in-person events, and art direction disciplines. These skills are backed by over 20 years of global IT partner ecosystem and Business-to-Business (B2B) marketing experience. This allows me to run projects from conception through to delivery, whether that be as an individual contributor, part of team, or leading the way. A recent example is when we pivoted from simply adapting our annual in-person event into an online format, towards a new reimagined, digital to-partner event series that delivered focused, strategic, high-value and actionable content throughout the year. In 2022 the four episodes cumulatively reached a larger audience than our one-time annual event, with higher audience engagement and satisfaction ratings. The recent 2023 kick-off episode saw 52% of event website traffic converted into registrations, and of those 70.4% tuned in to watch the event live or as a replay. This is why I turn up each day; to see the strategy and ideas come to life, deployed across a full portfolio of integrated digital and in-person marketing channels – design, try, test, refine, then redeploy again.
