I am a Certified U.S. Export Compliance Officer (CUSECO®) as designated by the International Import-Export Institute and a Global Logistics Specialist (GLS®) as designated by Alliant International University. My daily job function is to obtain export authorizations for controlled commodities and/or technical data/technology which fall under the jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, and/or The U.S. Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security. I have a working knowledge of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR), ATF & E Legislation and Regulations, Boycott Legislation and Regulations, U.S. Customs Regulations and the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.I have been in the Export Compliance field since and my past employers include ATK, Vista Outdoor Inc, The Safariland Group LLC, BAE Systems Inc, Lockheed Martin Corp, and ViaSat, Inc. While I was an associate at Lockheed Martin and ViaSat, Inc, I processed export authorizations for military and commercial electronics.
