ABOUT MARTIN TAYLOR
Biotechnology specialist VC Principal at F-Prime Capital. I spend my time between Boston, New York and London. I specialise in new company building and early stage venture capital investing in biotechnology companies across a range of therapeutic areas with global perspective. I have worked in the founding or operational teams of five portfolio companies, as well as supporting several other investments across the global portfolio. I have a particular interest in oncology, cardiovascular, renal and metabolic disease, and rare disease, among other therapeutic areas. If you are a founder, academic or entrepreneur with a transformative idea for a new company which will change the face of medicine, I would love to hear from you!I have an academic research background in the molecular biology, biochemistry, biophysics and genetics of DNA replication, repair and recombination. I have extensive experience with multiple experimental systems and techniques, including protein purification, biochemical reconstitution of complex reactions, nematode and yeast genetics, bulk and single-molecule biophysics, and mammalian cell culture. I hold First Class BA and MSci degrees from the University of Cambridge and a PhD from the Cancer Research UK London Research Institute (now part of the Francis Crick Institute) and UCL.
