   At Energy Consulting Group (“ECG”), we strive to be the premier provider of market-focused, process-centered demand management consulting. As the Demand Management market sector evolves, the distinctions between the functions, and therefore supporting systems, have become increasingly difficult to assess. The focus is currently on the value chain from Resource to Grid (“R2G”), and the platforms that support these business processes.The traditional Demand Response Management Systems (“DRMS”) vendors have extended their functionality, and now call themselves Distributed Energy Resource Management System (“DERMS”) suppliers. Next are the Advanced Distribution Management System (“ADMS”) vendors, and finally the Advanced Metering Infrastructure (“AMI”) companies. There are numerous functions and supporting systems vendors that consider themselves part of this value chain, but the main three (3) are; AMI, DERMS, and ADMS. The strategy for most utilities is to deploy a fully integrated solution across these functional areas. Some would say, preferably from a single vendor. As of today, such a platform does not exist. These efforts across the industry are referenced differently, for example, Grid Modernization, but their goals are broadly aligned.ECG covers the cycle from vendor assessment and selection to implementation. The company provides services in the areas of program management, subject-matter expertise, business analysis, organizational change management, and operations management.
