As Managing Director of BFS I am fortunate to work alongside a committed positive thinking quality and customer orientated group of people. Bristling with hundreds of years of bespoke structural steel fabrication knowledge our customers are practically guaranteed to receive exactly what they want, when they want it. Back in 1987 I took part in the department of trade for industry (dti) initiative scheme for Quality Management Systems (QMS), at the time the main stream system of the day was BS 5750. Working closely with the dti consultant we analysed the business and developed a system to both work for us and comply with BS 5750. Following implementation and two years of assessment and auditing we put the system forward for third party approval and were duly accredited by Lloyds Register Quality Assurance. From the early days of BS 5750 we have migrated to the ISO 9001 and combined this with EN1090-1 Construction Products Regulations (more often referred to as CE marking) QMS’s.I have always been a stickler for delivery, combine this with a business built around a quality spine with a dedicated highly skilled workforce and the final analysis for the customer is a total value proposition experience.For more information and the latest company news and updates, please visit the BFS Enterprise (Fabrications) LTD company page on LinkedIn.
