About Martin Palacios

Martin Palacios graduated with a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts in Music from Pensacola Christian College. While at PCC, he was a violinist in the resident string quartet and performed on national television with Rejoice in the Lord telecast. He competed and won several competitions involving the undergraduate and graduate concerto divisions, solo strings, and original music composition. His music career began during his senior year of college teaching private lessons at Pensacola Christian Academy for violin, viola, and cello students; and he conducted the intermediate string orchestra. Several of his students won scholarships in the annual PMTA Sonata Competition in Florida. In the spring of 2017 Martin completed his second masters in violin pedagogy at the University of Memphis under the instructions of Soh-Hyun Park Altino and Marcin Arendt. Currently, Martin is a Suzuki violin teacher at the Bellevue Baptist Church School of Performing Arts, teaches violin at Visible Music College in Memphis, and performs with the Memphis Symphony and Jackson Symphony of Jackson Tennessee. His passion for learning, teaching, and performing comes from his desire to see his students not only excel in music, but also grow in character. In addition to work, Martin finds joy freelancing in Memphis, writing and arranging music, and serving in the orchestra at Bellevue Baptist Church. As concertmaster of Bellevue\'s church orchestra, Martin has joined in concert with prestigious Christian artists including Veritas, Sandi Patty, and Michael W. Smith and performed in Carnegie Hall with Natalie Grant.
