Responsible for the management of strategic CSR, Safety, and Environmental policy and culture improvement programmes for the Central Branch of Doosan Babcock Energy Limited. Reporting to the Regional Director. The role covers the whole Engineering, Procurement and Construction spectrum of new build development, Retrofit Projects, Repair, Maintenance and engineering refurbishment contracts at 31 hazardous installations. This scope of operations includes works on 4 Nuclear sites and 1 Nuclear Decommissioning sites with entry into R4 and C3 conditions, 14 top tier COMAH petrochemical and chemical sites, 15 coal, gas and organic material fired Power Stations and three regional head offices. Client facing role which involves interaction with several “Blue Chip” companies including British Energy, EON, EDF, Total, Shell, Drax Power Limited, Conoco Phillips, Magnox North, Eggborough Power Limited and Corus. These projects and contracts employ around people at peak times. The position has accountability for the management of a regional safety department consisting of 4 HSE Leaders, 1 Document Controller and 38 safety site based managers/officers/advisors and administration support. The position also holds responsibility for the continued compliance, and maintenance of ISO 9001, ISO 14064, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 management systems.
