ABOUT MARTIN KLEIN
I am passionate about developing and applying energy system models that support the planning of the electricity grid and the integration of renewable energy sources. My mission is to contribute to the transition towards a low-carbon and sustainable energy system in Germany, Europe and the World.I create and analyze energy scenarios that reflect the impact of decarbonization, sector coupling, and electrification on the electricity demand and supply. I also collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, such as other transmission system operators, regulators, and research institutions, to ensure the consistency and reliability of the data and assumptions. Additionally, I have taught Python programming to students and obtained my Doctor of Engineering degree in energy technology.
