Reviews mid-month estimates and forecasts.• Provide guidance to the Day & Ross Senior Leadership Team on financial results.• Compliance with all relevant financial laws, IFRS, GAAP, and any other regulatory requirements, as well as internal policies and procedures. • Lead annual audits and coordinate with external auditors • Ensure efficient processing of accounts payable, billing, collections, and payroll transactions. • Implement best practices to streamline processing, reduce cost, and improve accuracy.• Interpret monthly financial results and insights to the SLT, Day & Ross Corporate Finance Team, and the CFO accurately within established deadlines.• Assist the CFO in preparing the annual budget, financial forecasting, and long-term strategic planning.• Monitor performance against budgets and forecasts, providing insightful variance analysis. • Develop and enforce robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure regulatory compliance. • Lead initiatives to detect and prevent fuel fraud and other financial risks• Prepare and present financial reports and strategic insights to SLT and the board of directors at McCain’s. • Act as a liaison between finance and other departments, ensuring aligned financial objectives and strategies.
