As a molecular microbiologist, I advanced the knowledge of bacterial evolution and pathogenesis using cutting-edge molecular biology and biochemistry techniques. I have characterized a novel bacterial protein family leading to an international patent, and authored multiple publications from peer-reviewed articles to science popularization texts. I have also presented my findings at prestigious international conferences, such as the ASM Microbe (Washington) and the IPNC (Boston and Cape Town, South Africa). Alongside my PhD training, I have developed strong leadership and communication skills through various scientific and academic initiatives. I led teams of 10-15 people as the president of a popular science journal and a student union, where I organized events and workshops and initiated institutional changes.
