Chicago-based nonprofit (501(c)(3)) creating a global network of cardio-centric researchers, clinicians and educators dedicated to the accessibility and advancement of cardiovascular (CV) clinical and translational science. While the academic medical center is the traditional realm for clinical trials, the CSF is devoted to fostering an opportunity that offers global CV research projects and collaboration for regional residents, fellows, and clinical cardiologists. Our inclusive approach, and focus for ongoing education, training and mentorship, is designed to improve care and outcomes, to heighten clinical knowledge and to expand a high quality, expert and experienced research infrastructure to realize clinical trial enrollment efficiencies. We partner with pharma/biotech companies to introduce innovation through clinical trials into communities that previously had limited access. CSF will provide the infrastructure, educational content and direction as well as clinical trial oversight to advance the efficiency and quality of clinical research and education among our partners and members. CSF will work with hospital centers and physician medical groups to recruit highly skilled and well trained cardiologists and clinical/research personnel into their organizations. Partnering with CSF, these hospital centers and physician groups will have an advantage over organizations that don’t offer clinical trials due to lack of infrastructure and will promote innovative thinking. Recruiting highly skilled clinicians and offering clinical research trials will entice patients to stay within their communities. Mission: Empower heart specialists and trainees to initiate and manage CV clinical and translational research to improve skills leading to quality patient care. CSF is inclusive, welcoming individuals as well as clinics and medical centers to join collaborative bids to advance patient care and education through trial design, cross-engineering and simplicity.
