ABOUT MARTIN BROWNLOW

Now retired after a long career as a project/programme manager with a proven track record in the delivery of both technical and business application projects. Experienced in: planning; estimating; delivery of site and company wide systems; over 30 years of IT knowledge primarily within financial services and banking sectors. Managed projects/programmes around mainframe, mid-range, web-based and multi-platform based systems, across single and multiple workstreams. Accustomed to responsibility, running multiple delivery teams within a changeable business environment and delivering against fixed deadlines, to budget and stakeholder expectations. Extensive knowledge of application delivery, using either waterfall or agile methodology. Knowledge extends across delivery of complex technical infrastructure, platform and application projects/programmes, procedural transformation and strategic initiatives. Last position was as the Product Owner for IT PM Processes, working on strategic direction and revision of PM working processes. Prior to this position was involved in roles on Transformational/Resilience initiatives linked to working approach improvements. Key programme delivery achievements prior to these transformational roles were: Verde - building a bank within a bank (creating TSB within LBG); HBOS migration, i.e. transferring savings/current accounts on to the legacy LTSB Core Banking System). Specialties: Ability to deliver large, complex systems on various technical platforms in a lead capacity or as a member of a larger delivery team. Used to managing multiple workstreams in projects or programmes, within tight timelines and budgetary controls. Procedural expert involved in efficiency and process improvement of project delivery.
