I am responsible for the definition and effective delivery of Training and Competency for all employees globally in Seadrill, onshore and offshore. Ensuring our business needs, legal and safe standards are met, whilst maintaining and regularly reviewing the standards for Training and Competency.This is achieved through implementing adaptive learning technologies, setting clear directives, training matrices and competency frameworks that meet our global requirements, standards and relevant flag state, class and customer demands.Optimised delivery through cost-conscious and effective sourcing and definition of services. Proactively engaging stakeholders to drive compliance and ensure competency is to the required and agreed standards. Acting as the point of escalation when a requirement, regulation or standard changes. Ensuring any management of change is handled in a structured and efficient manner, across the impacted business areas.Supporting any internal or external audits and controls obligations as the function SME, alongside fostering a global culture that promotes internal development and succession planning - helping drive talent retention and career growth across our global populations.Budgetary ownership, development and management, working with regional teams, stakeholders and vendors to plan and monitor spend.
