ABOUT MARTIN BIRCH-FOSTER
After qualifying from the University of Chichester with a BS(Hons) in Media studies and production, I began my journey in education by supporting students with SEN as a learning support assistant then studying to become a teacher.I’m 2019 I brought esports into St Vincent College in the form of an enrichment, which proved to be very successfully implemented into our SEN provision,So much so that it then was brought into the mainstream sixth form for learners.In 2021 I launched the esports level 2 course within our SEN provision and developed a 10 seater esports arena. Due to the success and high number of applicants for the level 3 course this lead to the development of yet another esport arena in the college in 2022, this time a 30 seat one, along with very good numbers for our first year of running the level 3 BTEC in Esports.
