I inspect the construction of new subdivisions in Pima County as well as any Contractor-related work in the public right-of-way. I make sure all contractors, public or private follow the guidelines put forth by Pima County. I work with them to minimize the interruption to normal traffic flow and daily routine of the residents in the affected areas, whether it is on a local street or major Arterial or Collector. Public safety is the focus of any project, large or small.The contractor must also have a concept of safety. Not only for its employees, but for the public as well.Another part of my duties include the investigation of citizen complaints. This can include anything from a contractor making too much noise or starting too early to one resident encroaching into the property of their neighbor.
