ABOUT MARTHA TERDIK
Martha is a Professor of Public Relations, and Program Coordinator, at Conestoga College. She is a faculty member in the School of Business where she teaches in the Bachelor of Public Relations (Honours) degree program. Martha enjoys bringing real-world experiences into the classroom through creative and interactive learning experiences. Prior to Conestoga College, Martha was Vice President Communications with Manulife, a global financial services company based in Toronto, Ontario with employees in Asia, the United States and Canada. In this role, Martha developed strategic communications plans that were aligned and consistent across multiple employee and public-facing audiences. She was a trusted advisor to senior executives, particularly on sensitive issues and crisis communications. In recognition of her achievements, Martha received a Star of Excellence, Manulife’s highest award for performance. Prior to Manulife, Martha was a Media Relations Representative with IBM Canada in Markham, Ontario. Martha began her career as a reporter for a daily newspaper in southwestern Ontario. Martha holds a Master\'s Degree in Journalism and an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature, both from Western University. She has a Certificate in Adult Education from St. Francis Xavier University and is currently completing a TESL Canada Certificate.
